Gabanya

Split the bill. Get paid on Mobile Money. Keep the book.

Scan the receipt, send each person a link, and they pay you straight on Mobile Money — no app for them to install. Gabanya keeps the book of who owes you, and never touches the money.

How it works

1

Scan the receipt

Take a photo and the lines are read for you — or type them in. You check the list before anything is shared.

2

Send each person a link

On WhatsApp, from your phone. They open it in any browser, tick what they had, and see their share and your Mobile Money number.

3

They pay you, you confirm

They send their share on MTN MoMo or Airtel Money and tap "I've paid". You confirm when it lands. Paid in parts, or over, is fine — the book keeps it straight.

Gabanya never holds or moves money. People pay each other on Mobile Money, the way they already do. The app records what each person says they sent and what you confirm arrived — a book, not a wallet.

Get the app

Gabanya is coming to the Play Store and the App Store. The people you split with need nothing: a link opens in any browser.

Until the stores list it, Android testers install it from the link their tester invitation carries.

Questions

Does the person paying need the app? No. They open a link in a browser, see their share and your number, pay you on Mobile Money, and tap "I've paid".

Where does the money go? From their Mobile Money to yours, directly. Gabanya sees the amounts people say and you confirm; it never holds a shilling.

What does Gabanya keep about me? Your number, your bills, the names and numbers you type, receipt photos — and what it does with them is in the privacy policy. You can delete your account at any time.

What does "Gabanya" mean? Okugabanya is Luganda for sharing out — dividing something so that everyone has their part.
